I know we have another movie thread, but that was more about new releases and the like. This is more about what you've seen in the last month or so, no matter how new or old.

Last night: Flightplan. A bit preposterous in places, but overall, a decent drama/thriller. Ideal for a wet Wednesday night in.

Friday night: Crash. Fantastic film. I reckon it did a good job of showing how many problems there are between different ethnic groups. And the way the segued (is that a word?) the scenes was very clever.

Never been interested in Harry Potter before, either the books or the films, but I ended up watching The Prisoner Of Azkaban last night as there was nothing else on at that particular time - loved it, and it's made me want to see the rest of the films now.

The other day i watched The Pursuit of Happyness and Apocalypto, they are two of the best films i watched in years.

I also saw into the blue on sky but that was awful, if it wasn't for jessica alba walking around in a bikini the whole film i would have turned it off..... :wub:

Dr. Zhivago = Classic (excellent)
Flightplan = Enjoyable
The Island = Good (futuristic)
Sintinel = Trash from start to finish
Borat = Hilarious. A gem of a film
The five "corners"??? = Starring Jodie "love your voice" foster and Tim Robbins..........I really enjoyed it, funny as hell.

Agreed. I liked the bit where the vandals were killed by the train. What? Oops, sorry. Wrong thread. :blush:

The wind that shook the barley.

Another very good film. It starts out making you side with the IRA, yet by the end, you support the politicians who want to strike a deal with the English. And the end is horrifying.*

*This might only apply to Irish people. :unsure:

Watched a film called Shooters again the other day - one of the best films ever. It's a gangster flick set in Liverpool with real life gangsters playing the parts. You will never see a more gritty, realistic film in your life, it's f*cking brilliant.
