That's what I was thinking. I can't imagine Maxi Rodriguez, Kasper Shmeichel, Hernan Crespo, and a number of others would be on that list.

I told you earlier, some of them don't even exist.

You tosser!!! :grumpymonkey:

Found this

Aiden McGeady to Liverpool
The Irish Cristiano Ronaldo (should there be such a horrific invention) completed a Scottish PFA Player and Young Player of the Year double last night, and Benitez has told the fans they are signing someone this summer who ‘talks good English, but is not English’ – could he be the man? And isn’t good Scottish still bad English?

McGeady looks a good little player. But I'm sure he's another right footed left winger, having watched the Old Firm Derby last week.
He certainly has all the attributes that Benitez seems to like. Plus he's skilful.

Guys, it's Solano. Rafa wanted him before and now he's out of contract has decided to make his move.

Don't try and say his age isn't important, it's always a factor in some way or another.

And his injury is well beyond the realms of mere speculation, mate. Just have to watch him with the ball for Barca to see he lacks the zip he used to have.

And for the record I am not saying I wouldn't take Henry -- just saying one should consider all the circumstances. That includes the aforementioned issues and the fact he would be living in London regardless of where he played in England, so he could see his daughter as often as possible.

Look like he could join Chelsea after all.

But I would hope Rafa actually go out and sign another world class striker to partner Torres and have gerrard playing behind the 2 strikers. In all honesty, i would like Rafa to sign Berbetov(I know, i know, long shot).

That would require a significant re-jigging of the midfield. We'd need another central player in addition to Masche and Xabi ... or else play 3/5 at the back ... besides which, we have a very good young striker in Babel already ...

Bah!!! I wont put so much hope on Babel, to be honest. He is STILL very raw and STILL not able to come to term with the physical side of the english game. The lad is suffering big time now. The only way to effectively use him would be subsitution after 70mins of play. Everytime he start a game, he will just be the invisible man until he got sub out.

A bit disappointing for a 11 mil pound signing to be honest. Another few more game will signal the end of this season, Babel still look the same player when he first join. Compare to Torres, he adapt and change his style a play a bit to deal with the physical game of EPL. Don't forgot, Torres only 1 year older than Babel.

im pretty sure torres is 3 (4 at most) years older than babel

the deal won't be done as the transfer window isn't open yet. i assume an agreement is done but if the name was released and someone like chelsea were interested (for eg) then they could come in with a whopper bid! it will be far smoother if he's kept under wraps until the deal can be sealed. thats my take on it anyway!
