TOP DORTMUND TARGET ON LIVERPOOL RADAR

Merseyside giants Liverpool have reportedly been monitoring Borussia Dortmund target DonyellMalen who plays his club football for PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch Eredivisie. Italian media man Fabrizio Romano stated on his ‘Here We Go’ podcast that Liverpool have been monitoring Dutch international Malen for some time and they could make a move for him. The player has been on the Liverpool radar for many months.

Malen was formerly in the Premier League at Arsenal before he returned to the Dutch league to play for PSV Eindhoven. He had earlier joined the Gunners from Ajax Amsterdam as a teenager.

The latest reports in the media stated that Borussia Dortmund have agreed a £25m deal for Malen and that both Ajax Amsterdam and Arsenal will receive a fee each if the transfer goes through. Liverpool might need to match the bid from Dortmund or even bid more if they want to secure his transfer ahead of the German team.

Borussia Dortmund see Dutch international Malen as the replacement forEngland international Jadon Sancho who has joined Manchester United in a £73m deal.

Malen is attracting attention from the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool after a stellar season for PSV Eindhoven. He scored 19 goals and also added eight assists for his Dutch team in 32 games in the league but it was not enough to beat former team Ajax Amsterdam to the Dutch Eredivisie title.In total, Malen scored 21 goals and also provided ten more goals in 43 games for both club and country last season.

Liverpool target Malen represented the Netherlands at the recently concluded Euro 2020 tournament and he had an attacking output of two assists in four games. Malen and the Dutch team crashed out of Euro 2020 tournament at the round of 16 stage to Czech Republic.
