Brendan Rodgers and the other decision makers at Liverpool need to be quite sensible in the coming pre season transfer window.
They must focus on covering the weaker bases.
At the moment, they are looking to be most interested in the Southampton defender Nathaniel Clyne.
They had placed a bid of 10 million Pounds for the player earlier, but, it wasn’t accepted after which they are planning to increase the amount and go for another bid.
Clyne is a good player no doubt and it’s quite normal for the clubs to be interested in him for the kind of player he has turned out to be in the last one- one and half years.
But, the question is – is signing a right back the top priority for Liverpool at the moment?
The answer would be no despite the fact that a position is vacant there after the departure of Glen Johnson.
The first and foremost thing that the Reds have to do is to bring in a couple of high class strikers from somewhere because it’s that department which has let them down of late.
